4 Proven Strategies To Fight Inflammation

inspiration Sep 27, 2019

We’ve all heard about the many conditions, where chronic inflammation plays a big role and has been attributed a significant tole in many conditions, such as heart disease, certain cancers, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and obesity.

This type of chronic inflammation is often hard to detect, it can go unnoticed for years, it causes cell damage and has a huge variety of triggers, such as environmental toxins, food sensitivities, UV radiation, medications, etc.

Chronic stress, insufficient sleep, sedentary lifestyles have sadly become the “standard American lifestyle”, and contribute greatly to chronic inflammation. Sadly, chronic inflammation affects the WHOLE body, instead of a localized area and is hard to address.

We can’t control all of the triggers, but let’s look at the factors we CAN control and improve:

  1. Use natural sunscreen
  2. Practice stress relief daily (exercise, yoga, meditation, hobbies)
  3. Limit exposure to pollutants and toxins
  4. Healthy diet consisting of:

  • Healthy fats: Flaxseed Oil, Chia and Hemp Seeds, Green leafy vegetables, Pumpkin Seeds, Walnuts
  • Eat plenty of fresh, raw or lightly cooked vegetable
  • Focus on plant based proteins such as beans, legumes, seeds and nuts
  • Eat only high quality, organic poultry, meats and wild-caught fish
  • Eat only healthy, organic grains such as quinoa and rice
  • Eat little or NO processed grains and baked good, including pasta, chips, cookies and cereals. NO SUGAR! Sugar feeds inflammation like nothing else
  • Organic, high quality coffee and green tea are high in antioxidants, which fight inflammation
  • Clean, mineral water plays a major role in proper hydration

Bottom line is: Your body needs healthy foods and water to give you healthy building blocks that give you everything you need to fight and lower inflammation.
