Roasted Garbanzo Beans

Garbanzo beans, or any other beans on your Metabolic Balance® plan are a fun, easy and versatilely way to get your beans and make them tasty and easy to pack for the food on the go-meal. My daughter decided to spice and roast them in the oven, she takes them to school her main lunch protein. They came out super delicious and were so easy to make, we decided to make a big batch and have them around as a snack too.


Here is what you need:

1 portion beans, either cooked or canned, we used Garbanzo beans, but most beans will work

Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, olive oil

 


rinse and drain the beans, dry them off with a paper towel
spread the beans on a baking sheet, toss with olive oil, lemon juice and spices to your liking
bake at 300 degrees for 30-60 minutes, make sure they are nicely roasted and dry
store in an airtight container, refrigerate 
Enjoy with your vegetables, and bread and fruit if your plan allows
