Yogurt-Fruit Smoothie

This smoothie is a super easy way to start your day. You can use fresh or frozen fruits. I don’t like my smoothies too cold, so I defrost my frozen fruits overnight in the fridge. I like to use: mango, papaya, pear, apple, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, melon or strawberries. Yogurt is a natural probiotic food and is well balanced with proteins and good fats, make sure to always use full fat dairy. You can use cow, goat, sheep or soy yogurt, see which options your plan gives you. For those who prefer non-dairy options, I recommend CoYo yogurt, made with coconut milk. Smoothies are always a great food to be creative and because I want you to keep things interesting, try some different versions. This is an easy and quick on the go option for those of you who need it

Here is what you need:

1. Measure your fruit portion, use either fresh or frozen fruit

2. Measure yogurt portion

3. Using a handheld or counter top blender, blend both together

4. Add spices if desired

Different flavor options:

Orange-Ginger:

1. Wash the orange well under hot water

2. Peel orange and cut the fruit into pieces

3. Peel and finely grate ginger

4. Blend yogurt, orange and ginger together - enjoy
